This is stunning!
I think what I love most about it is the angle and how you've made it possible to gaze down the river's path, rather than, say, being on the far right bank looking down upon a smaller section.
Catching the reflection of both the trees and the bank in the stillness of the surface gives me an impression of serenity that makes this scene tranquil without any sense of darkness or "cold".
I enjoy the sight of the disturbed snow in the lower left corner and the small bits of ice near the bank. It breaks up the shot and it is so visually appealing how the far side appears pristine while the near side looks recently visited by a creature.
Oh, and the lighting is lovely. Not too bright and quite beautiful, adding a soft blue hue.
